Implementation of Xaverius Character Education at Xaverius Vocation School Palembang Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Karakter KeXaveriusan di SMK Xaverius Palembang

Abstract
This research discusses Xaverius education which includes the values of faith, knowledge, humanism and toughness which are the characteristics of schools belonging to the Palembang Xaverius Foundation. This research was conducted by observing the strategies of teachers and students in teaching and learning activities in both intracurricular, extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The aim of carrying out this research is to explore the implementation of Xaverius character education (faith, knowledge, humanism and toughness) at Xaverius Vocational School, Palembang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects including school principals, teachers and students at Xaverius Vocational School, Palembang. The data acquisition process was collected through observations, interviews and documentation studies. So the results of this research show that despite the commitment of the foundation to make schools a place where the values of love and basic principles of national and state life are maintained, the implementation of character values is still not evenly distributed in all aspects of learning. Further efforts are needed to strengthen the habituation of Xaverius character values so that they can be thoroughly integrated into the daily lives of students at Xaverius Vocational School, Palembang. Based on the results of this research, character education that is carried out well still requires evaluation of student character development.
