OPTIMIZING STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODELS IN PANCASILA AND CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION SUBJECTS

Abstract
This study aims to determine whether applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes in Civics subjects at SDN 122 Palembang. This study uses a classroom action research (PTK) model. The research subjects were 31 students in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The focus of this research is student learning outcomes in the matter of Citizenship Education (Civics). The results of this study indicate that the problem-based learning model can be improved based on cycle I and II results. This is evidenced by the average value obtained in cycle I (56%) to 70% in cycle II. In addition, the percentage of completed grades in Process I increased from 58,1% to 87,1%. The implications of this study prove that the problem-based learning model has the potential/opportunity to improve student learning outcomes, especially in Civics subjects, so that this can be a reference for other teachers to use the PBL model.
