Peningkatan Kreativitas Peserta Didik melalui Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' creativity through a Culturally Responsive Teaching approach in one of the elementary schools because based on the initial test results show that only 58% of the 22 students' creativity skills are still in the low category, based on the results of initial observations it shows that learning is applied using a conventional approach. This research uses the Collaborative PTK method with the subjects of this research being 22 class IV (four) students. This research was also carried out in collaboration with class IV (four) teachers. The research was carried out in two cycles with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this research show an increase in the total percentage of students' creativity scores in these aspects, namely in the pre-cycle it reached 42%, in cycle 1 it increased to 75%, and then in cycle II it increased again reaching 87%. Success in cycle II can be seen from the total percentage that meets the research performance indicators, namely >75% so the research was stopped in cycle II. So this research shows that there is an increase in student creativity through the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach.
